Taking a little break...

I just wanted to let you all know that I won't be posting anything new for awhile. I have stepped down from all my DT commitments and will be taking a break from blogging altogether for a bit. This is not a forever goodbye...just a short one...lol.

I have some family stuff that needs my attention at the moment and have just come to the realization that I just cannot do it all. I truly envy the rock star moms who can take on crafting, blogging, DT commitments and post something new and exciting everyday all while having little munchkins to chase around...lol!

I'm so appreciative to all of my loyal followers and I hope you will all stay, but I will understand if I lose some of you while I take a break.

No worries though...I can't stay away from my craftroom or blogland forever...I will miss it too much...lol! So I will be back! :D

Until then, Big big hugs to everyone and happy crafting! :D

Wishing You A Wickedly Spooktacular Birthday! Sketch Saturday #204 -Sponsored By Pages of Memories!

Whew...I didn't think I was going to even get a chance to play with my goodies this weekend, but I made it...better late than never! :P~

Was able to hep hubs get his assignments all finished up for the week and he even had time to get the weeding and mowing done today...we also put the boys to work washing the cars...lol! I know we're so bad...but hey they had fun and loved it! I actually feel like we got a lot accomplished today and we will now have some time to relax tomorrow with the boys and make it a couch potato day with movies and popcorn!

~~~~~~~~~~♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥~~~~~~~~~~
So glad I found some time to play with the Sketch this week! I don't know how Jo is able to come up with such amazing sketches every week!
The fabulous sketch this week:
We have an amazing new sponsor this week...so please give Pages of Memories a visit!!
And the fabulous prize for this weeks winner will get 2 "Nikki & Friends" stamps of the winner's choice!
You're probably thinking...hmm...it's not Halloween yet?...lol! Nope definitely not October...but when I seen this image in the Tiddly Inks shop, I just knew it would be perfect for a birthday card for my mom! Her birthday is coming up soon and she is in love with goth and dark type stuff like witches and vampires and all that! And no she is not evil or into witch craft...lol...she just has a very eclectic taste. So I know she will really get a kick out of this...or so I hope! :)
The image I used is called: "Spooky Birthday" and can be found in the Tiddly Inks shop HERE!
I had these plastic spiders left over from the kiddos Halloween stuff back year..they are actual rings that I cut the back off of. Those gorgeous purple moonstone brads are part of my new stash I got from my last order at "WOC"!
And I know I said I was going to stay away from this glittery paper but I wanted something super sparkly for the theme I was going for on this card. Takes me ages to clean up the super fine glitter that falls off of this paper after playing with it...gets all over in my hair, face, skin, everywhere...lol! It also clogged up my sewing machine!
Used the same layout for the inside too...
Guest Design Card for Make It Crafty -Copper Colored Metal Challenge!
It's Friday...Friday...anyone else ever get that song stuck in there heads on Fridays?....Hope I'm not the only one...LOL! Hope everyone is having a wonderful Friday in anticipation of a great weekend! No fun for me though this weekend as I will helping hubs get caught up on his school work...oy....
~~~~~~~~~~♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥~~~~~~~~~~

Anyways, I have a special project to share today! Tracy from Craftezee once again asked me to GD for Make It Crafty challenges and I definitely couldn't pass up the chance to play with these stunning images! I was amazed she even considered me because the whole team has some outstanding and very talented color artists already! :)

This weeks challenge theme is "Copper Colored Metal"...a bit challenging and intimidating at first thought until I found the perfect image in the Make It Crafty shop to use!

I tried to keep my card a little plain and simple to show off more of the coloring this time, since after all this is a coloring challenge! The other awesome part about the Make it Crafty challenges is you don't even have to have a completed card or project to submit...you can submit just a pic of your fab coloring! How fun is that?!

The image I used for my card can be found in the Make It Crafty shop HERE!

Copper Metal Flowers: E11, E13, E15 & E18
Metal Leaves: BG90, BG93 & BG96
Metal Stems, Cogs & Bolts: NO, N2 & N4
Natural Leaves: YG91, YG93 & YG97
Dirt and Rocks: E40, E42 & E44

I did color a sky...but it's not noticeable in the pic...lol. I used W00 and went over it with B0000 to give the sky a watercolor effect.

SIZE: 4 x 4.25
IMAGE: Make it Crafty -"Metallic Flowers"
COLORING MEDIUM: Copic Markers
PAPERS: All cardstock matting is DCWV

Dreaming Of Everything Wonderful For You! Sketch Saturday Challenge #203 -Sponsored By Simon Says Stamp!!

Happy Weekend!!
I cannot believe it's Saturday already! The weeks sure are flashing by aren't they?! It seems like just yesterday, the boys were going back to school after a long Summer break and now Summer is just right around the corner again! My oldest will be in 5th grade this year and my youngest will finally be going to Kindergarten in the Fall. Sometimes I wish I could turn back time...but I know you can't keep them babies forever...lol!

~~~~~~~~~~♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥~~~~~~~~~~
Well with a new weekend brings a new sketch to play with at Sketch Saturday! Yay! Be sure to stop by and check out all the wonderful inspiration the DT has in store for you!
Here's the awesome sketch:
And this week we are being sponsored by our wonderful friends at Simon Says Stamp!
And as always a very generous $25 gift certificate will be awarded to one lucky winner to spend in the SSS store!!
Isn't that image just precious?!! My lovely image this week is from Roberta at "Prairie Fairy Designs"!! This one is called "Fairy Rosie" and is one of her newest and sweetest little fairies...you have to check them out and make sure not to leave until you have a cart full of her sweet images...lol!! I colored her with my Copics in lots of Springy beautiful colors and of course had to sparkle up her gorgeous wings!
Not sure if you can tell from my pics?...but I embossed the background panel she is sitting on top of and added some cheesecloth beneath it.
I finally got my new order of lovely flowers from "WOC" the other day and I just couldn't wait to use my new beauties...lol! Loving those white tulips! Oh and I also got me some of their new line of gorgeous brads too! I'm really in love with the roses too...the perfect size and style! The pink ones I actually got in the clearance section...they are the 25mm Wild Roses and the gorgeous purple on is the 35mm Trellis Roses.
The inside is really simple this time because I wanted to show off more that sweet floral paper...
